How do I start?

To start meditating, you don’t need anything. For beginners, it might be really difficult to stay focused as it seems like it’s so difficult. But all you need to do is sit with your back straight, maintain a good posture and breathe slowly. As you breathe in and out, just focus on your breathing. You might get other thoughts and feel like you can’t do it, but it is in fact very normal to experience this when you first start meditating. Just focus more and try as hard as you can to avoid other thoughts. You might not last long in your initial phase, but even something is better than nothing so don’t give up.

Try using a stopwatch to track your meditation time. Try to set a goal. For example, try meditating for 5 minutes. You can play meditation music in the background. You can also use various apps from the app store as well. One of the best ones out there is Medito.
