TU Faculty of Management Opens CMAT 2026 Applications for Bachelor’s Semester Programs

Kathmandu, Nepal – The Faculty of Management (FoM), Tribhuvan University, has officially opened applications for the Central Management Admission Test (CMAT) 2026, the mandatory entrance examination for admission into its undergraduate semester-based programs for the academic year 2026/27.

According to Prof. Dr. Mahananda Chalise, Dean of the Faculty of Management, students seeking admission to management-related bachelor’s degree programs offered through constituent and affiliated campuses across the country must appear in and pass the CMAT examination.

The online application process for CMAT 2026 began on June 15, 2026 (Asar 1, 2083) and will remain open until August 4, 2026 (Shrawan 19, 2083).

The entrance examination is scheduled to be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026 (Shrawan 23, 2083) at 8:00 AM.

Programs Covered Under CMAT

The CMAT examination is required for admission to various bachelor’s semester programs under the Faculty of Management, including:

  • Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)
  • Bachelor of Information Technology Management (BITM)
  • Bachelor of Business Management (BBM)
  • Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance (BBA-F)
  • Bachelor of Hotel Management (BHM)
  • Bachelor of Travel and Tourism Management (BTTM)
  • Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS)
  • Bachelor of Public Administration (BPA)

These programs are designed to equip students with modern managerial knowledge, practical skills, and professional competencies required in today’s competitive global environment.

Eligibility Criteria

Students meeting any of the following criteria are eligible to apply for CMAT 2026:

  • Minimum CGPA 1.8 with at least D grade in Theory and C grade in Practical in each subject of Grades 11 and 12
  • Second Division in +2, PCL, or any equivalent qualification.

Students awaiting the results of Grade 11 or Grade 12 examinations are also eligible to apply. However, they must submit proof of successful completion at the time of admission.
